The homes are listed on Airbnb and Vrbo and on our own booking site, so reviews come from all three. The star ratings and recent quotes on each home's page are pulled from those listings rather than typed in by us. We'd rather you read what a stranger wrote than what we'd write about ourselves.

The part we care about most
Sarah says it best: the hope is that one of these homes ends up in someone's favorite memories. A first trip with a baby. A weekend two old friends finally got on the calendar. A big family dinner at a long table with the rain going sideways outside. Muddy boots at the door and a dog asleep by the fire.

Yes. The ratings and quotes on each home's page come from the home's listings on Airbnb and Vrbo and from direct-booking guests. We don't edit them or write them ourselves. If you want to read the full run of reviews for any home, its Airbnb listing is the easiest place to do that.
What does Airbnb Guest Favorite mean?
It's a designation Airbnb gives to homes that guests consistently rate highly for things like accuracy, cleanliness, check-in and communication. Our homes carry it, and some have ranked in Airbnb's top 1% of listings. It's earned by the stays themselves rather than by anything we can apply for.
What do guests say about the coast homes versus Mt. Hood?
Coast guests talk about the beach, the fog and the quiet, and about how the hot tub earns its keep on a stormy night. Mt. Hood guests mention the wood stove, the screened porch and the Bunkhouse Lounge, especially with a group. In both places, the bed and the morning coffee come up a lot.
