Book direct, and talk to the people who chose the mattress

Same home, same standard, no platform fee in between, and a straight line to us before, during and after your stay.

What booking direct changes

When you book direct for an Oregon vacation rental, the house doesn't change. The bed is the same bed. The firewood is stacked the same way. What changes is what's between you and the people who run it. There's no platform service fee added at checkout, and your questions, your arrival details and the follow-up when you leave the good pan on the stove all come from us rather than through an inbox we share with a platform.

It also means we know who you are. When someone books direct we tend to remember the trip, the dog's name, that you liked the loft, and it's easier to make the next stay a little better than the last. That's the version of hospitality we actually enjoy.

The same home, the same standard

There's no lesser version of the home for direct guests, and no better one for Airbnb. The homes are Airbnb Guest Favorites and have ranked in Airbnb's top 1%, and that standard comes from how we run the places, not from where the booking came through. Same cleaners, same fresh linens, same wood stove laid for the first night.

The photos on our booking site are the photos we took for the listings. The house descriptions were written by us, from the porch, not by a copywriter who's never been there. If anything, the direct pages tend to be more honest about the quirks, because we'd rather you know the loft is reached by a narrow stair/ladder combo before you get there.

How it works

Find a home under the homes and follow the link to its page on our booking site. Pick your dates, see the rate, and reserve. The cancellation terms for that home are shown before you pay and are the terms that apply. You'll get a confirmation from us, then an arrival message with the practical bits a few days out: where to park, how to get in, how the hot tub works.

  • No platform service fee at checkout
  • Live availability and the full rate before you commit
  • Cancellation terms shown clearly on the booking site
  • Arrival details and support from Greg and Sarah directly

If you'd rather talk to a person first, call 541-337-8947 between 8am and 8:30pm, any day of the week.

Where Airbnb still makes sense

We're grateful for the platforms. They're how most people found us, the Guest Favorite badge lives there, and for a first stay the familiarity can be worth the fee. If that's where you're most comfortable booking, it's the same home and we'll take just as good care of you.

What we notice is that people who've stayed once tend to come back direct. They know the house, they know us, and paying a platform to introduce us again doesn't make much sense. Whichever way you book, the goal on our side is the same: a place that's a little different from the ordinary, with good coffee in the morning and somewhere to put muddy boots. Good to know

Is it actually cheaper to book direct?

The platform service fee that Airbnb and Vrbo add at checkout doesn't apply on our booking site, which for most stays is a meaningful difference. We can't promise a specific number because rates move with the season, but you'll see the full price before you commit, with nothing added after.

Is the home any different if I book direct?

No. It's the same house, the same cleaning standard, the same linens and the same wood stove. The only difference is who you're talking to. Direct guests deal with Greg and Sarah from the first message to the last, which we think makes for a better stay, but the home doesn't change.

What's the cancellation policy when I book direct?

Each home's cancellation terms are shown on the booking site before you confirm, and those are the terms that apply to your reservation. Read them before you book. If something changes, get in touch as early as you can and we'll tell you plainly where things stand.

How do I know the booking site is legitimate?

It's linked from every home's page on this site, and the confirmation you receive comes from us, with our phone number on it. If you'd feel better hearing a voice first, call 541-337-8947 and one of us will pick up. That's the whole point of booking with a small, owner-operated collection.

Can I still leave a review if I book direct?

Yes, and we hope you will. After your stay we'll send a short note asking how it went. Those responses shape what we change next, from the extra reading lamp to the second porch chair. Reviews from direct guests appear alongside the others on each home's page.
